Wild Horses + Yoga
with Melissa Montilla
December 8th 2:00 - 4:00pm / $85
Wild Horses + Yoga is an exploration of both horsemanship and humanship! Enjoy an experience that includes mindfulness, love, and respect for both horses and humans by practicing the art of connection with the spectacular horses at Wild Horse Rescue Center.
WHRC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the welfare, rescue, and preservation of America’s wild horses – the mustangs.
At our core we are all wild things, and the horses at WHRC are incredible teachers to guide us toward a stronger relationship with our breath, balance, and intuition. Class begins on the ground with breath, centering movement, and body language skills, and move toward building awareness through movement both on the ground and mounted with the horses.
This is an all levels and all abilities experience. Please wear long yoga pants or stretchy jeans and sneakers, or a flexible paddock boot. Helmets will be required for all mounted riders. The horses are gentle and beautifully trained, and safety is a priority. 100% of the proceeds go directly to their care.
