Wednesday, November 20th, 2019

Teaching Yoga requires competency, compassion, and a persistent desire for knowledge and practice in order to facilitate the experience of yoga for the human body, heart, and mind. The Sanctuary Yoga Advanced Teacher Training is based in that understanding and is designed to cultivate each participant’s teaching practice as well as support and expand their personal experience.
This Training advocates the importance of understanding that everything is connected; both within and without, to produce confident and capable teachers who can teach a broad range of students and styles. By exploring the synergistic possibilities between breath, movement, and stillness, we will work thoroughly to synthesize and develop your teaching and professional skills, as well as establish a supportive environment to learn and grow in a non dogmatic way.
The Sanctuary Yoga Advanced Teacher Training opens with a strong foundation in somatic awareness, teaching pedagogy, considerate communication, and anatomical understandings taught in a kinesthetic and connected way. These understanding and foundations will then be challenged to cultivate creativity, and give teachers both the tools and permission to continually

A culture of creativity requires diversity. Each SYTT student must have a commitment to inclusion across race, gender, age, religion, identity, and experience.
craft their classes with great respect for their students needs, the practice practice of yoga, and themselves.
The training groups are small for a stronger community connection and plenty of one on one time with Faculty, and the extended format is designed so each student can take time absorbing knowledge, and applying it to their practice and teaching.
Yoga teacher training is a tremendous commitment of time and energy. It is important to us that each student registered is at ease with this process, and has an opportunity to explore and experience our approach to yoga practice and teaching. Please let us know if you have any more questions or would like to continue the conversation.
sincerely,
melissa
