Gong Bath Meditation with Kim Holton

Come immerse yourself in the sounds of the gong. Gongs have long been used for their healing energy, as the complex sounds alter brain waves to promote deep relaxation. We'll start with basic postures followed by a half hour gong bath meditation while lying down—a great opportunity to work on your savasana!

Learn to teach the practice kindness with restorative yoga. This workshop will explore the body mechanics of relaxation, how different poses affect the body, breath work, creative use of props, and how to sequence and include restorative yoga in your practice and classes. This workshop is appropriate for all levels, and for students as well as teachers. Class size is limited to 16, and taught at a different location. Our low backs are subject to stress and strain from lack of use, overuse, as well as from subtle misalignments from our daily routines. This workshop will cover the needs and habits of a healthy back as we explore how to use yoga to relieve pain while supporting spinal health and happiness!
