Workshops
Workshops
Workshops offer students
the opportunity for an immersion in their practice or
to try something new.
More time is allowed for a deeper level of instruction and focus on particular aspects of practice, and greater interaction.
Workshops are not necessarily harder than a typical yoga class, and you can always ask for more information on them by
e-mailing melissa@yogagainesville.com.
Sanctuary workshops offer students the chance to really enjoy the particular talents of our teachers, and benefit from the wisdom and experience of nationally and internationally acclaimed teachers.

"An Afternoon of Ayurveda with Lisa Remy"
Saturday May 22nd 3-5pm
Free
Ayurveda, the "wisdom for a healthy, long life", is thought to be the oldest form of health care that exists. Ayurveda originated in India around 5,000 years ago, and encourages the maintenance of health through diet, lifestyle, yoga, meditation practices, use of herbs, and other methods. Are you experiencing your full potential of health? Discover how simple lifestyle changes may enhance your physical and mental health. In this class you will take a personal dosha test to discover your Ayurvedic constitution. We will then discuss how to balance your constitution through the wisdom of Ayurveda. This class will focus on eating right for your type, as well as yogic practices and daily routines. We will also look at the importance of ridding the body of "toxins", and the effects of the environment on our health.
